Communication Implementation:
The RoadRunner comes equipped with two different types of communication modules.
The first, and indeed the most basic, is the serial communication through
the RS232 port.
For the purposes of this robot, the serial communication port is used for
communicating between a base station (computer) and the RoadRunner Though it
is possible to do through wireless communication, the RS232 port is the primary
source of code uploading.

The second (optional) module on the RoadRunner is Eb500 module. When the RoadRunner is unable to be connected via a cable to some other external device (computer
or other robot), the need arises for the robot to be able to communicate wirelessly.
In this specific case, the RoadRunner utilizes the frequency hopping spread
spectrum (FHSS), which uses multiple radio channels to reduce interference
and increase security.
Note: Half-duplex means that the module is only able to do one operation at
a time. In other words, the module can only either receive or transmit at
any one time, but never both simultaneously.
