The Graphics Arts Technology Program offers:
The printed page is still the last word in communication, and electronic graphics technology serves to make that printed page a very pleasant way to communicate. SIPI's Graphic Arts Technology program specializes in preparing students for responsible positions in both producing the printed word and in enhancing its design through digital design. Desktop publishing also leads to the world of electronic communication by way of web page design and multimedia applications. The Graphic Arts Technologys Associate of Applied Science degree or Certificate of Completion courses of study offer training and instruction in prepress operations, press operations, and post-press operations. The three areas of concentration are: Typesetting/Layout and Design; Camera, Stripping and Platemaking; and Printing/Bindery. We offer training on both PC and Macintosh platforms, using software programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and PageMaker for layout and design. We also explore web applications, music editing and multimedia applications.
