The spring DE student orientation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009

SIPI delivers a growing number of distance education courses in the following formats:

• Online (via Blackboard CE 6.0, formerly WebCT)
  Online students should have daily access to a computer and the Internet (from home, work, or a community site). Students should plan to spend three to five hours each week online, and an hour a day (or more) studying for each online course.
• Two-way videoconferencing (ITV)
  Students in ITV courses must have regular access to a videoconferencing site in their home community, at work, or, in some cases, in a nearby community, during the days and times the class meets. Students should plan to attend each class session and spend several hours each week studying for each class.

  Introduction to Online Learning (CACS099) Spring 2009: January 26 to February 20, 2009
  A four-week, one-credit SIPI course to prepare students for college-level online courses in Blackboard. (Students who enroll in this course should have basic computer literacy skills and frequent access to a computer that is connected to the Internet.)
