It is the policy of Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) that all faculty, staff, and students adhere to the federal copyright law, Title 17 of the United States Code, and its implementing regulations. SIPI faculty, staff, and students are responsible for knowing their rights and responsibilities and complying with federal copyright law. Members of the SIPI community are required to gain explicit permission from any copyright holder before using copyrighted materials, subject to the limitations to copyright ownership under Sections 107, 108, and 110(2), which provide limited exceptions for the reproduction of copyrighted works by educators and librarians.

 

License and permission agreements related to intellectual property issues will be maintained in the office of the copyright officer. Questions concerning copyright should be directed to the copyright officer. Obtaining the appropriate permission to photocopy, download, use, manipulate, or broadcast information is the sole responsibility of the user.
