Small Business Administration

“Empowering Tribal Communities: One Entrepreneur At A Time”

SIPI’s Department of Business Technologies and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Native American Affairs have implemented training to support a multi-partner national initiative to increase entrepreneurship opportunities and economic development services for the country’s 100 most economically disadvantaged tribes.

SIPI has developed and implemented a program for Native American entrepreneurs, incorporating culturally sensitive curricula. Program staff have conducted training sessions in reservation communities, and continue to work closely with tribal governments, other tribal colleges, Indian organizations, and other Federal agencies, as well as the private sector, to support small business endeavors.

  • Small Business Opportunities in Procurement

  • Tribal Business Governance

Training curricula has been developed for online access as well as in CD/ROM and written manual formats.
