Housing & Recreation
The Housing & Recreation Department is committed to providing a living and learning environment conducive to student development. This Housing
& Recreation Department features two (2) traditional style residential facilities, which provides accommodations for approximately 288 students. In
addition, the Housing & Recreation Department supervises, organizes and facilitates recreational activities, intramurals and the SIPI Wellness Center.
A large component of the educational experience is learning to live and to interact with other people from different tribal, racial and economic
backgrounds. To this end, students are helped to develop a growing sense of maturity and responsibility by participating in student activities within
the residential facilities and throughout the college campus.
This web page is designed as an introduction and as a guide for all students who are enrolled at the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute. As you
become familiar in your residential facilities, you should become familiar with the contents of this site as it is a summary of activities, services and
policies that will govern you while you attend the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute. It is our desire that many of your questions will be
answered after a thorough review of this site. If you have any additional questions, please contact our department at (505) 346-2371. In addition,
Residential & Recreational Specialist serves as valuable information resources and can provide clarification and more specific information about the
residential hall and campus affairs.
