Students are encouraged to initiate independent research for other scholarship assistance to supplement their expenses. Students interested in receiving financial aid from the following programs must apply directly with the appropriate agency:

New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship

 

The NM Opportunity Scholarship (NMOS) can cover academic fees at SIPI for New Mexico state residents and US students from federally recognized tribes that cross the NM border.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enroll in 6-18 credit hours (fall/spring); 3-6 credit hours (summer)
  • Courses must be credit-bearing
  • Have a 2.5 cumulative college GPA or above
  • Have less than 90 total attempted credits
  • Enroll in an eligible certificate and/or degree program
  • Have financial need

SIPI Board of Regents Emergency Fund

 

Currently enrolled students who find themselves in dire need of financial support in order to manage an unexpected situation that may cause them to quit school are encouraged to apply. A paper application can be found at the SIPI Board of Regents office (OT 142B) or SIPI Financial Aid Office (OT 143/174) or Dr. Cometsevah 505-922-4093.
