Spring 2024 New & Re-admit Student Info

On behalf of our college, we welcome you to SIPI where "Expect Success" rings true within our learning community. As a two-year institution, SIPI prides itself on how we prepare our students to be lifelong learners.

The following Steps need to be completed before your first day of classes.

Step 1:  SIPI Counselors Will Contact You for Scheduling Accuplacer

Placement Testing

Required for first-time students. The Accuplacer testing lets you know where you stand academically in English, Reading, and Math so Advisors register you for the right classes. A staff member will contact you to schedule your test.

Testing will occur on campus. Virtual testing is for those residing more than 50 miles outside of Albuquerque.

New Students:
Upon completion of your Accuplacer your scores are sent to the Academic Chair of your program of study. The Academic Chair will assign your Advisor and your Advisor will contact you. If you are not registered by January 5, 2024, contact [email protected] or [email protected].

Transfer Students:
You may be required to complete the Accuplacer depending on courses taken at previous institution(s). If it is determined you do not have to take the Accuplacer, we will notify the Academic Chair of your program of study who will assign your Advisor. Your Advisor will contact you. If you are not registered by January 5, 2024, contact [email protected] or [email protected].

Re-Admit Students:
Admissions will notify the Academic Chair of your program of study. Your last known Advisor will contact you. If your former Advisor is no longer with SIPI, you are assigned a new Advisor.
