Associate of Applied Science
Designed for preparing for entry-level position in the field of accounting or who chose to further their degree, students can complete the course of study within five (5) trimesters. Students will utilize the Accounting Associate of Applied Science Degree checklist (below) to guide their journey and will work with their advisor towards completion.
- The Program's graduates will obtain an entry-level position in the accounting field.
- The Program's graduates will continue their higher education studies.
- Graduates will be able to prepare financial statements and record business transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Graduates will be able to analyze financial statements using ratio analysis and managerial accounting technique.
- Graduates will be able to apply various business and accounting software applications to accounting processes.
- Graduates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of income tax preparation processes for an individual tax return.
- Graduates will be able to apply ethical principles in business decision making.
