Institutional Effectiveness
What is Institutional Effectiveness?
Institutional Effectiveness reflects the ability to demonstrate (with data/evidence) that the college is effectively meeting its stated mission. SIPI does this by upholding a set of effectiveness values. To achieve these values, SIPI has established a set of processes, and these processes yield data/evidence that demonstrates where the college is effectively meeting its mission, and where its challenges lie.
Below is a listing of SIPI's institutional effectiveness indicators. Note that the first (left-most) column includes SIPI's mission. The next column includes effectiveness values. If SIPI is effectively demonstrating these values, then it is effectively meeting its mission. The next column includes basic processes to address each of these values. The right-most column includes the data/indicators from the processes that capture the degree to which SIPI is effectively meeting its mission. This shows us not only to what degree we're meeting our mission, but exactly where we are performing best, and where we are in greatest need of improvement. This basically links data/evidence indicators to our ability to meet the institution's mission.
Major Institutional Effectiveness Processes
To the left are resource links for some of SIPI's most important institutional effectiveness processes/indicators; namely, its resource pages for academic and non-academic assessment, and key performance indicators. For the assessment processes, manuals and templates are provided. For the key performance indicators, the most recent Board of Regents Key Performance Indicator Reports are available. In the near future, resource pages will be added for four other institutional effectiveness processes: academic program review, non-academic program review, institutional learning outcomes assessment, and co-curricular assessment. SIPI currently has processes and manuals in each of these areas. Until the resource pages are added, please contact [email protected] for the most current cycle's version of these manuals, templates, and other resources.
This form is intended for internal SIPI data requests; therefore the data output is restricted to internal SIPI use only.
